I think this is really a lovely piece and definitely quite an improvement from the version on your old account. I like how you've drawn in the focus to the face rather than having it being on the entire body as in the old piece because to me it allows for more emotion to be seen. Here I get a better sense of the distress of drowning that I didn't quite get with the previous version. While body language can definitely convey distress, in my opinion, there's just so much more that can be taken from the face so drawing the focus to it really helps.

I really enjoy the shading and the detail of this, especially the detailing on the bubbles of water, the light streaming into the water and the fur around the wolf's neck. With these, I really get the apsect of being underwater because they really well reflect how light acts underwater and the movement that the fur would have underwater as well. The texture on the bandage is also particularly well done, even though it's subtle in a way.

The only things I would like to give suggestions for concern the jaw and its jawline. To me, the jawline seems to be rather squared and I think it's the shading that makes it appear that way to me. Maybe if you were to soften the shading along the jaw, including the part covered by the bandage, it might aleviate this a bit. In addition to this, adding to the boxiness I think is that the lower jaw is a little thick, which might be the perspective, but I think too that if you thickened the gum-line (the black around the "lips") it might help that a bit.

Another suggestion I would give is about the rest of the fur. While the fur around the neck is very nicely done, on the rest of the face, ear and paws it just doesn't quite resonate as fur with me. The shading is accurate, but you've also made it smooth, which for me creates a contrast between it and the detail of the neck. Adding even subtle detailing of fur on the rest of the body would lessen the constrast, I feel.

I think you've done really well. A favourite for sure.
